Where it helps

Common spaces we hear about

Kitchens

Big windows over sinks and counters often take direct morning or afternoon sun.

Sunrooms

Lots of glass means lots of heat — lighter films can help while keeping the view.

Patio & sliding doors

Large glass that floods floors with light and glare.

Living rooms

TV glare and furnishings exposed to daily sun.

Home offices

Reduce glare on monitors during video calls and long workdays.

Bedrooms

Soften early light and add daytime privacy on street-facing windows.

Window Film choices

The full SolShield Window Film lineup

Reflective films like SolShield DUO and Reflective Silver suit sun-facing living rooms and bedrooms; White Frost is a natural choice for bathroom windows; Clear Safety & Security film is available for glass doors and ground-floor panes.

Every Window Film option below is available for homes and businesses alike, subject to a glass compatibility review before anything is cut.

  • Shades 15, 25, 45

    SolShield DUO Dual Reflective

    $4.50 / sq. ft.material only

A reflective look outside with a softer appearance from inside — popular for solar control and daytime privacy on sun-facing glass. How private it feels depends on lighting and shade on each side of the glass.

Good fit: Living rooms, bedrooms, offices, storefronts

Daytime privacy only. When it is dark outside and interior lights are on, people outside can see in. Use blinds or curtains for nighttime privacy.

  • Shades 20, 30

    Reflective Silver

    $4.50 / sq. ft.material only

A classic mirrored finish for solar control and daytime privacy. Especially useful on business and storefront glass — and just as available for homes.

Good fit: Storefronts, offices, west-facing home windows

Daytime privacy only. When it is dark outside and interior lights are on, people outside can see in. Use blinds or curtains for nighttime privacy.

  • 2 mil

    White Frost / Frosted Matte

    Priced per jobquoted after review

A soft, frosted finish that obscures views while still letting light through. Shapes and silhouettes close to the glass may still be faintly visible.

Good fit: Bathrooms, office partitions, conference rooms, entry glass

  • 4 mil

    Clear Safety & Security

    $4.50 / sq. ft.material only

A clear film designed to help hold shattered glass together if a pane breaks. Real-world performance depends on the glass, the frame and the installation.

Good fit: Ground-floor windows, glass doors, storefronts

  • 8 mil

    Clear Safety & Security

    $6.00 / sq. ft.material only · quoted

A thicker clear film that helps hold shattered glass together. Performance depends on the glass, frame and installation, and some openings may need an added attachment system.

Good fit: Entry doors, storefronts, vulnerable panes at home or work

Rates are material only and a non-binding starting point — shipping and taxes are additional. The estimator calculates at the $4.50 / sq. ft. base rate and does not record which film you prefer; tell us your choice in your quote request. Safety & Security films are not burglar-, hurricane- or bullet-proof and make no building-code claims. Results vary with glass, frame, orientation and installation.

Before you start

Things we'll look at together

  • Is your glass single, double or triple pane — and is it Low-E coated?
  • Which direction do the windows face, and how many hours of direct sun do they get?
  • Do you want the film to look nearly invisible, or is a light tint or reflective look okay?
  • Do you have HOA, rental or window-warranty considerations?

When a pro is the better call

Second-story windows, skylights, oversized patio panes, curved or arched glass, or anything that requires a tall ladder are usually best handled by a professional installer. We'll say so honestly during review.
